Porches
The Bungalow porches serve as transitional space from the public street and landscaping to the privacy of the home.  Porch columns are always a prominent element of various styles.  Brick, river rock, stacked stone, and shake shingle are often used to incorporate contrast in piers.  Replicated time period lighting is used to create a warm porch welcome.  The solid wood, custom made doors are as individual as the homeowners and invite you into the warm interior.

Exteriors
All homes are constructed on crawl spaces with brick foundations.  Smooth Hardiplank siding is the primary exterior cladding used to cover the simple lines of the Bungalow.  Reverse Board and Batton will be used with some plans to add a touch of detail.  Cedar shake shingles are sometimes used to accent gabled areas of the exterior.  The roofing material is twenty year Architectural Shingles.  Each home has a deck with railing for entertaining and relaxing as well as security lights for added comfort.  Windows are often a large part of the exterior character of a Bungalow.  Careful attention is paid to the selection of the double hung wood windows to insure proportionate components as well as maintaining the original character.  Color plays an important role in the warmth of a Bungalow, each house will be painted with Historic Paint colors from Sherwin Williams/Duron.  One body color, a trim color and a complimentary accent color will be applied to every house.

Interiors
The interiors are based on the fundamental principles of honesty, simplicity and usefulness to create a comfortable, functional home.  Defining areas with dropped and cased openings or beautiful archways eliminates the overuse of walls.  The use of tall windows and high ceilings allows natural lighting to flow throughout the house.

Living and Dining Rooms
The tone of the home is set the moment you step inside.  The hardware at the front door is typical of the hammered iron, weathered brass or hammered copper that is consistent with the character of the coffered ceilings, wainscoting, bead board with plate ledges, or even exposed painted beams are found in every home.  All homes have six inch base boards, decorative window and door surrounds, and hand made fireplace ledges or mantles.  Fireplaces are embellished with lavish tile surrounds that add both a functional and decorative element to the room.  Lighting in the homes is a compilation of time period replicas that add an ambiance of practicality, simplicity, and elegance.  Wood staircases with intricate turn stiles extend a warm welcome to the upper levels of the home.

Nooks
